When should I arrive at the studio?
Please try to arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time and not earlier than that. In this way I can be sure that the client before you has left and that I have had the time to clean and prepare a suitable space for you.
Also, we will use this time to have a little conversation about how you are feeling and what your goal and needs about the treatment are.
What is the duration of the massage?
If you book a 60-minute massage, it means that the massage duration will be 60 minutes. The same goes for a 90-minute massage.
Please always allow for about 20-30 minutes extra - before we start the massage, we will take about 10-15 minutes to discuss your health condition, whether you are looking to have a general stress-reduction massage, or you are seeking help with a specific problem such as neck pain, lower back pain, headaches, or other pain.
After the massage I will leave you some time and privacy to relax and get changed, have a cup of tea, discuss about how you are feeling and schedule your next appointment.
Should I bring a towel?
Fresh towels are provided, but please feel free to bring your own towel if you prefer so.
What should I wear during my massage?
Thai yoga massage on the mat and
on the table, as well as for
Thai foot massage, please bring comfortable and light clothing such as long sleeve t-shirt and sports or yoga pants / leggings.
oil massage, you will be wearing underwear and you will be covered at all times with a towel. Only the part of the body receiving the massage will be uncovered.
chair massage, you will be wearing exactly what you are already wearing on that day. You might be asked to take out off a suit jacket or thick pullovers, in case you are wearing them.
Is there a shower in the studio?
Unfortunately not. However, showering right after a massage is not recommended, as doing so you will lose the beneficial detox effect of the massage and wash off the oils (in case of
oil massage). It is always better to wait 2 - 3 hours after a massage before taking a shower.
However, it is advisable to take a hot shower before the massage, as the warm water will allow your mind and body to relax.
Can I eat before getting a massage?
It is recommended to avoid having a big meal 2 hours prior to the massage appointment.
Medical & health conditions / is a massage always appropriate?
Before starting the session we will discuss your health conditions.
Please inform me before the massage in case of any health concerns, such as pregnancy, muscle or joint injuries, heart condition, high/low blood pressure, diabetes, fever, contagious skin condition or any other medical issue, as this may affect the ability to treat you.
Should I get a massage if I feel ill / have fever?
I kindly ask you to reschedule or cancel your massage if you feel ill. You will not be charged for that.
What do I do during a massage therapy treatment?
Nothing! :-) Just make yourself comfortable, thank yourself for taking the time to take care of yourself: switch off and completely relax, let go of any negative thoughts, and just breathe.
If need be, I will either move you or adjust your positions, or ask you to adjust your position or to hold my hands for some particular stretching positions during the
Thai yoga massage. Otherwise this is the right time for you to simply just be in the moment and feel your body.
Is it ok to talk during my massage?
It is absolutely ok if you feel like talking, however, in order to get the most benefits out of the massage, I recommend you stay with your eyes closed, sit back and just relax.
It is important though, in case you feel pain or you do not feel comfortable in a certain position, or with a certain stretching, to please let me know during the massage.
Sometimes, especially during some
Thai yoga massage positions, I might need to ask you for feedback to check if the pressure is right or if the stretching feels good.
What if I fall asleep?
It is common that during a massage people fall asleep. During a massage clients fall more into a meditative state rather one of normal sleep, which makes this time even more precious.
Relaxation and sleep are two of the best healers: your body and mind use this ‘sleep time’ to rebuild, rejuvenate, de-stress and heal.
Which kind of products are used?
oil massage I use organic massage oil, with the addition of a few drops of a high quality essential oil of your choice.
Thai foot massage I use organic massage oil, organic body lotion and Thai balm (optional).
Will my massage hurt?
My massages are not meant to be painful, but, according to the intensity and the type of massage you chose (which will be discussed before the session), you might feel some discomfort when tight or tense muscles are massaged.
Please note that I always adapt the pressure and the stretching movements to your needs and your current health condition.
If you are just looking for relaxation and do not like deep pressure, I will ensure you have a blissful relaxing experience for your body and your mind.
Will I be sore after my massage?
Like after a workout, your muscles will probably feel a little sore, due to the release of lactic acid, which can last up to 3 days after the massage.
This is why it is recommended to drink plenty of water after the massage, in order to help the tissue hydrate so that toxins can be released.
What should I do / not do after a massage?
First of all, take your time to fully wake up, I will leave you some minutes alone for that.
Only when you feel you are fully awake can you get up from the table or from the mat. Do some simple movements and stretches to allow your body to re-engage.
Drinking plenty of water is important to promote healthy muscle tissue and remove waste from your system. Please avoid alcohol or caffeine for several hours after the massage, as this will cause your body to dehydrate.
Try to keep the blissful sensations left by the massage, calmness and joy, throughout the rest of your day by taking deep, belly-filling breaths.
It is recommended not to work out after a massage, as it can cause strain to your body or result in your being tired and accidentally causing injury. Wait until the next day before you exercise, in order to give time to your muscles to recover.
What kind of payments are accepted?
Accepted payment forms are: cash (compulsory for the first appointment), PayPal or bank transfer.
Can you accept health insurance or prescriptions?
I am sorry, but neither health insurance nor prescriptions can be accepted.
Please note that there is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled appointments.
In case of no show or up to a 3 hour cancellation notice, 100% payment is required.
In case of a 21 - 3 hour notice, 50% payment is required.
In case I have to cancel our appointment, the same will apply - in case of up to 3 hour notice I will give you a voucher for the same type of massage that I had to cancel; in case of a 21 - 3 hour notice I will give you a 50% discount on your next massage.
Do you accept same-day appointments?
It would be better to schedule your appointment at least some days before, but I know sometimes a massage is just what you need at that particular moment.
So, if this is the case, please call me or send me a WhatsApp message and I will let you know if we can schedule an appointment the same day.
Do you offer sensual / sexual massage?
Absolutely not. I only offer professional massages.
Please refrain from making any sexually suggestive comments or actions during your treatment, as this will result in the immediate termination of your massage session as well as the payment for the entire session.
Do massages promote weight loss?
Getting massages regularly helps your body detox, flushing out extra fluid from the body, especially if you have swollen ankles, legs and waist.
Massage improves blood circulation and promotes lymphatic drainage, which means that you will feel better in your body as a consequence.

How often should I get a massage?
It depends on what your goal is: physical needs, stress, particular pain, emotional needs, as well as your budget.
In case you are suffering from some specific pain, such as back pain, neck and shoulder pain, a massage every week or every 2 weeks would be ideal. As your muscles relax and healing begins, sessions decrease in frequency.
For general health and relaxation, I recommend receiving a massage every 4 or 6 weeks in order to help your muscles stay loose, prevent injuries, and release stress.
